Screening for Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Fajar Nusantara is committed to academic integrity and the originality of scholarly work. Every manuscript submitted will undergo a plagiarism check before being sent for peer review.
Check Procedure:
-
Detection Tools: The plagiarism check is performed using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other equivalent tools.
-
Tolerance Limits:
-
The maximum allowed total similarity rate is 20%.
-
Similarity from a single source must not exceed 3% (except for direct quotes with proper references).
-
References are not considered as similarity.
-
-
Actions for Violations:
-
If the plagiarism rate exceeds the limit, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision or directly rejected, depending on the severity.
-
If serious plagiarism is found (e.g., copying without attribution from another work), the author will be blacklisted and will not be allowed to submit to this journal again.
-
-
Self-Plagiarism: Authors are not allowed to reuse substantial parts of their previous works without proper citation or the editor's permission.
Note:
Plagiarism checks are performed at two stages:
-
Initial stage (pre-review)
-
Final stage (pre-publication)
